Surely you have heard of  The Colosseum, Rome’s most popular tourist attraction? For almost 400 years, gladiators would often fight to their death for entertainment.  It is estimated in that time close to 400,000 people died in what is also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre. Even skeptics can be convinced that the spirit of the gladiators lives on.

It is not surprising that visitors today claim to hear the cheers and screams from a crowd while there is no sign of people in that particular section or ghostly figures wandering the staircases. Is it paining souls of the deceased gladiators? Some say the vaults are active by the spirits of gladiators waiting to fight, actors waiting to perform, and prisoners becoming prepared for execution. There have been several accounts of cold touches or pushes that have been felt by both tourists and employees. Even sounds of animals have also been heard within the vaults. 

 If you think the belief  has now died down you are greatly mistaken. Every now and again someone says he has seen a ghost walking around in the cellars, even dragging heavy and noisy chains.
